Luis Gerardo LoGar is a filmmaker based in Mexico City.
He has written and directed the short films "CLAUN.", "Damn Hobo!", "Watermelon Cassette", and he produced and co-wrote the short film "Punk Talk". His work has been showcased at the BFI Future, Cinequest, London Short, San Diego Latino, Taxco Film Fest, and many others.
Damn Hobo! premiered at the BFI Future Film Festival and won the Best International Film Special Mention. It also received nominations for Best Director, Best Writer, and Best Experimental Film.
He was selected as part of the 20 up and coming latino filmmakers of the Tomorrow's Filmmakers Today program in 2023. The program was part of the Hola Mexico Film Festival in LA.
His next project is a feature film called "ENCORE." which won the First Prize Award in the MAFICI LAB 2020 for first Latin American feature films in development. It took place in the MAFICI Film Festival in Argentina.
He was selected in the distribution lab "CONECTA" by Retina Latina and the Ministry of culture of Colombia for the upcoming filmmakers of Latin America. It took place during the Bogotá Audiovisual Market (BAM).
